Ms. Darling began drawing animals at the age of five and has continued a close association with a variety of wildlife, while perfecting her talents of draftsmanship and sensitive portrayals. Childhood years spent living in Europe enabled the young artist to see firsthand the original work of great Renaissance Masters. Today her drawings and paintings reflect this early influence.

Carol was an Honor Student and top graduate of the Ringling School of Art and Design, and also graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word, with the degree in Arts Education. Her busy life included being an internationally published sports photographer and award winning graphic designer. A parallel career in arts teaching enabled her to influence the careers of many artists across the country. Carol is a signature member of the Society of Animal Artists, International, the most prestigious animal art organization worldwide.
